2015年、デザイナーがサンフランシスコのGrant Avenueを訪れた際に着想を得て誕生した「grant」。
1970年代、アメリカで主流だったボストン型取り入れた1本で、当時kearnyを初めて形にした職人の手によって製作され、kearnyとしても思入れの深いフレームです。

そのデザインをベースに今回、初めてセルロイドを使用したツーブリッジフレームへアップデートし、約10年の時を越え「grantⅡ」として蘇りました。

玉型は丸みのあるボストン型をツーブリッジにしたことで個性もプラスされた眼鏡になりました。

kearnyの初心を彷彿とさせる一本であり、またセルロイドを扱うことが難しくなった今だからこそ、ぜひ手に取っていただきたい特別なフレームです。

In 2015, “grant” was created after the designer visited Grant Avenue in San Francisco.
Inspired by the Boston-style frames that were popular in 1970s America, it was crafted by the same artisan who first shaped kearny, making it another deeply significant piece for the brand.

Building upon this design, it has now been updated into a double-bridge frame using celluloid for the first time.
After nearly a decade, it has been reborn as “grantⅡ.”

The rounded Boston shape, combined with the double bridge, adds a unique character to the frame.

Evoking the origins of kearny, and created at a time when working with celluloid has become increasingly rare, this is a special piece we invite you to experience.
