Kearnyʼ s celluloid collection represents the origin of the brand.
Inspired by the structures and forms of vintage eyewear, each piece is carefully crafted one by one
in collaboration with Japanese artisans. When polished, celluloid develops a distinctive luster and
deep color, and its expression gradually changes over time.
This collection̶created through time-intensive craftsmanship̶
embodies the very foundation of Kearnyʼ s approach to making eyewear.

新しい素材や構造を試みるコレクションです。
名称の「ACE」には、Acetate の略語と
｜英語で " 本物 " という意味が込められています。
アセテートやチタンなどの異素材を取り入れながら、
kearny の思想を別のアプローチで表現しています。
Acekearny is a collection that explores new materials and structures,
drawing on the knowledge cultivated through kearnyʼ s celluloid craftsmanship.
The name “ACE” carries two meanings: an abbreviation of acetate,
and the idea of “authenticity” in English.
By incorporating different materials such as acetate and titanium,
the collection expresses kearnyʼ s philosophy through another approach.
gravel は、佐渡ヶ島で拾った石から生まれたコレクション。
フランス人のワイン生産者を訪ねて佐渡を訪れた際、
海岸で出会った石の形や模様に魅力を感じたことが始まりです。
その石の柄をもとに日本のタキロンローランド社と生地を制作。
オリジナルアセテートを使用し、レンズのシェイプも拾った石の輪郭からデザインしています。
レンズカラーは、佐渡番茶や日本茶の色合いをイメージした
Green Tea と Coarse Tea の 2 色で展開しています。
Gravel is a collection inspired by stones picked up on the shores of Sado Island.
The idea began during a visit to Sado to meet a French winemaker, when the
shapes and patterns of stones found along the coast captured our attention.
Based on the patterns of those stones, we developed a custom acetate in collaboration with
Takiron Rowland, a Japanese materials manufacturer.
The lens shapes are also designed from the contours ofthe stones that were collected.
The lens colors are available in two variations ーGreen Tea and Coarse Teaー inspired by the tones of
Sado bancha and traditional Japanese tea.
kearnyでは、これまでデザイナー熊谷が訪れた土地で出会った、
自然が生み出す美しい造形や力強さを
独自の視点で眼鏡へと落とし込んできました。
「konide」は、円錐形の成層火山（コニーデ火山）を着想源としたシリーズです。
今シリーズでは、群馬県・赤城山の穏やかな稜線と、
その雄大な姿を造形に映し出しています。
幾度もの噴火と堆積を繰り返し、長い時間をかけて
一つの美しい山を築き上げる成層火山。
その姿は、日本の眼鏡づくりにも重なります。
職人たちが技術を磨き、経験を積み重ねることで
一つひとつの眼鏡が丁寧に形づくられてきました。
セルロイドが見せる有機的な経年変化と
チタンが持つ普遍的な美しさ。
異なる素材だからこそ生まれる表情と
日本の職人技術が支える造形美。

At kearny, designer Fujiki Kumagai has long drawn inspiration
from the landscapes encountered throughout his travels,
translating the beauty and strength of nature into eyewear through a distinctive perspective.
konide is a series inspired by the form of stratovolcanoes.
This collection reflects the gentle ridgelines and majestic silhouette of Mount Akagi in Gunma, Japan.
Just as a stratovolcano is shaped over time through repeated eruptions and layers of sediment,
Japanese eyewear craftsmanship has been refined through generations of dedication, experience, and skilled hands.
The organic aging of cellulose and the timeless beauty of titanium.
The contrast between these two materials
reveals different expressions,
while the craftsmanship behind each frame
gives form to their shared identity.
